This subject immerses students in the essential concepts of project management within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, blending both Agile and traditional methodologies. Students will learn to apply project management principles and utilize software tools to deliver successful projects. The curriculum covers key industry standards, professional ethics, and the social, cultural, and legal issues pertinent to modern project management practices. Emphasis is placed on the application of processes, methods, skills, knowledge, and experience to meet specific project objectives within agreed parameters.

Students will explore both adaptive and predictive project management styles, understanding their activities and importance. They will gain hands-on experience with common project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management tools and procedures. The course also focuses on evaluating project status and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, students will analyze the ethical, social, cultural, and legal impacts of projects on diverse stakeholders. Collaborative teamwork and individual efforts are encouraged to manage industry-standard projects effectively, preparing students for real-world project management challenges.

Dr. Manish Gupta

Australian Institute of Advanced Technologies Lecturer

Dr. Manish Gupta, lecturer of AIAT, has extensive experience as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Adelaide, University of Technology Sydney, and Torrens University, Australia. He specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Dr. Gupta earned his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and conducted postdoctoral research at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea, and the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), USA, focusing on biosensors and AI-driven medical diagnostics. He currently serves as Head of Innovation and R&D at the digital healthcare start-up ArogyaPandit in India. Dr. Gupta holds two patents, has published over 80 papers in prestigious journals and conferences, and co-authored the book Particle Machine Learning with Spark.
